For Ministry

Clergy & Congregation Care

The Clergy & Congregation Care (CCC) program is a research, development, and training effort to help Samaritan Centers nationwide serve clergy, congregations, and judicatories by delivering quality education, consultation, counseling and related services. The CCC program is an additional component of Samaritan’s existing counseling services and will offer assistance specifically to clergy and congregations.

As director of Samaritan’s Clergy and Congregational Care Program, it is my pleasure to provide assistance to clergy and congregations of Southwest Louisiana. With a Master of Science degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola, and a Master of Science degree in counseling from University of Southern Mississippi I have a unique set of skills that blend my 16 years of counseling with education in pastoral care.

Whether it is in personal counseling, educating congregations about relationships or family issues, setting boundaries for laity activities, or education on mental health subjects, Samaritan counselors, like myself, are equipped to be a support for those who would like to grow their effectiveness in ministry.

Integrating faith issues into real life situations can be challenging for clergy and laity alike.  Often it is helpful to have a therapist trained in faith development to facilitate dialogue and assist in developing options.  Samaritan counselors are available, offering help and hope.  Give us a call if you would like to talk about your situation. Perhaps we can offer some suggestions that would open the windows of new opportunity for you or your house of worship. Let us be your partner in offering help and hope.
